Search Grant County Traffic Court Records
Traffic records in Grant County can appear in Indiana MyCase, Indiana ePayment, Grant Superior Court 3, Marion City Court, or Gas City City Court. The right search path depends on the court named on the ticket, the location of the stop, the officer, and the charge. Local rules route many infractions and misdemeanors to city courts, while Superior Court 3 receives all Level 6 felonies and misdemeanor cases that include an OWI charge under IC 9-30-5.
- Read the citation for the court name, court date, charge, and whether it is payable.
- Search Indiana ePayment or MyCase by citation number, ticket number, case number, name, date of birth, and Grant County when those fields are available.
- If the ticket names Marion City Court or Gas City City Court, follow that court's local payment and contact rules.

Grant County Traffic Courts
Grant County traffic court records are split across county and city courts. The Clerk FAQ says a defendant may plead guilty or not guilty. If pleading not guilty, contact the court before the court date. If pleading guilty to a payable citation by mail, the defendant must send a money order or cashier's check, not a personal check, payable to Grant County Superior Court III at 101 E 4th St, Marion, IN 46952, and must sign the back of the ticket. Failure to pay before the court date can result in license suspension.

Grant County Traffic Record Fields
A Grant County traffic court record is the court's file for the citation or traffic-related charge. It may show the citation number, court, party name, charge or statute, court date, plea, fine or costs, payment history, failure-to-appear entries, warrant or suspension-related entries, and final disposition. Online financial balances may not show the most recent payment, charge, or interest, so official balances should be confirmed with the Clerk or city court.

Pay or Contest Grant Traffic Tickets
Payment and contest rules depend on the court. The Grant County Clerk FAQ says payable citations by mail require money order or cashier's check, personal checks are not accepted, and the back of the ticket must be signed. Payment should be made before the court appearance date or the license will be suspended. Driving while suspended requires a court appearance. Marion City Court receives payments for misdemeanors, traffic tickets, ordinance violations, and bond returns, cash or money order only according to its page.
Marion City Court meets Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. for arraignments and pretrials, Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. for trials, and twice monthly Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. for ordinance trials. Gas City City Court payment rules should be checked directly when the case is assigned there. A not-guilty plea requires contacting the court before the court date. A guilty plea may close the court record but can still affect the driver record.

Court and Driver Records
The court traffic record and the Indiana BMV driver record are different files. The court record is maintained by the Grant court, Clerk, or city court and shows the case activity. The driver record is maintained by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and shows driving history, license status, suspensions, citations, violations, and other entries impacting driving privileges.

Grant County Traffic Deferral
The Grant County Prosecutor FAQ covers the Infraction Deferral Program. Applications may be made online, in person at the Prosecutor's Office Room 107, by phone at (765) 664-0739, or through retained counsel. Ineligibility includes a major driving offense in the last five years, including DUI, OWI, DWI, passing a school bus while loading or unloading, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while suspended, no valid license, construction or worksite violation with workers present, or habitual traffic offender status. A case is also ineligible if the court date has passed or the fine has already been paid.
The Grant County infraction deferral form is the online application channel linked by the prosecutor. The form source supports the deferral channel, while the prosecutor's eligibility rules control whether a driver may use it.
Grant County Traffic Limits
OWI matters are not ordinary traffic tickets in Grant County routing. Local rules send all misdemeanor cases that include an OWI charge under IC 9-30-5 to Superior Court 3, and more serious charges may route as criminal cases. CDL and commercial-driver consequences should be checked with the court and BMV because a court disposition can affect license status and driver-record entries. The research did not identify a separate local photo-enforcement program or defensive-driving course detail beyond the prosecutor's deferral program, so unsupported local claims should be avoided.
Public access follows the same Indiana court-record access framework used for other court records. Rule 5 excludes certain confidential records and data elements, Rule 6 governs exclusion of otherwise public records, and Trial Rule 5(F) governs filing excluded records. For traffic records, the common practical limits are sealed records, expunged records, protected personal data, and juvenile or related restricted information.
